The story

Made by one person, for the people who matter

Lobbie is the work of Pierre van Mever, an independent maker who wanted a warm, simple way to remember and celebrate the people he loves. It is the app he built for his own family and friends.

Because it answers to you and not to advertisers, there are no ads, no tracking, and no account. Your people and dates live on your device and in your own private iCloud. The only time anything leaves your phone is if you choose to make an AI card, which has to reach an image service to draw it.

Questions, answered

Is Lobbie free?

Lobbie is free to use while it is in TestFlight. There is no subscription or in-app purchase in the app today.

Which languages does Lobbie speak?

The app is in 6 languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Italian, and it can write birthday messages in even more. Translations outside English are an early pass and still being polished.

Does Lobbie work without an account?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no account. Your people and dates stay on your device, and sync through your own private iCloud if you leave that on.

What data leaves my phone?

Almost nothing. The one exception is when you use an AI feature. To draw an AI card, write a message with AI, translate a wish, or search for a GIF, Lobbie sends only what that feature needs (such as the first name, age, occasion, tone, and your message) to the service that powers it. It never sends photos, phone numbers, emails, or your contact list.

Do the reminders work offline?

Yes. Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. There is no server, no push, and nothing to sign in to.

Can I import my contacts?

Yes. You can import people and dates from Contacts, Calendar, or a CSV file, with a review step to catch duplicates before anything is added.

Does it handle people who have passed away?

Yes, gently. You can mark someone as remembered, and their day gets a soft note instead of a celebration. No party prompts, no pressure.
