Lobbie is built to be private. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking, and no analytics. This policy explains the little that happens with your data.
What Lobbie stores
The people you add, their dates, groups, notes, gift ideas, and your reminder settings are stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on, they also sync through your own private iCloud (Apple CloudKit), which only you can see. Cards you prepare are saved as files on your device and do not sync.
AI illustrated cards
The only data that ever leaves the device is when you use an AI feature, and only what that feature needs. To draw an AI card, or to write or translate a message with AI, Lobbie sends the needed detail (such as the recipient first name, age if known, the occasion, the tone, and a short snippet of your message) to a Cloudflare Worker that passes it to Google Gemini; if Gemini is ever unavailable, a card may fall back to another image service. To find a GIF, your search words go to GIPHY. It never sends photos, phone numbers, emails, your contacts, or any account identifier, and nothing is sent unless you use one of these features.
Contacts, Calendar, Photos, and Camera
If you import people, Lobbie reads Contacts or Calendar only with your permission, and the data stays on your device or your private iCloud. To add a photo to a card, you can choose one from your library or take a new one with the camera, with your permission; either way the photo stays on your device. Lobbie asks for no location or microphone access.
Your choices
You can turn iCloud sync off to stay fully on-device, delete any person or card at any time, and export your people to a CSV file. Because there is no account and no server of ours, there is nothing for us to hold on your behalf.
